Von Hanson’s Meats Sirloin Skewers

Football season is right around the corner. Here is a great recipe to make when having people over for the fun!

Sirloin Skewers

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Certified Angus Beef  sirloin steaks, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 8 skewers, soaked in water
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle in adobo
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon buttermilk

Instructions:

  1. Place beef cubes on skewers and season with salt and pepper. Grill to desired doneness.
  2. Combine lime juice, chipotle in adobo, mayonnaise and buttermilk in blender. Serve with skewers.

Von Hanson’s Meats Avocado Bacon Burger

Bacon Avocado Burger

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pounds Certified Angus Ground Beef 
  • 1 avocado
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 leaves green leaf lettuce
  • 1 tomato (sliced)
  • 8 slices bacon (cooked)
  • Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat grill. Portion ground beef  into four patties. Season burgers with salt and pepper, grill to an internal temperature of 160°F.
  2. Peel and slice avocado. Build burger by layering bottom of bun with mayo, lettuce, tomato, burger, avocado and bacon. Top with bun and serve.
