Von Hanson’s Meats Sirloin Skewers

Football season is right around the corner. Here is a great recipe to make when having people over for the fun!

Sirloin Skewers

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Certified Angus Beef  sirloin steaks, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 8 skewers, soaked in water
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 teaspoon chipotle in adobo
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon buttermilk

Instructions:

  1. Place beef cubes on skewers and season with salt and pepper. Grill to desired doneness.
  2. Combine lime juice, chipotle in adobo, mayonnaise and buttermilk in blender. Serve with skewers.

Von Hanson’s Meats Avocado Bacon Burger

Bacon Avocado Burger

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 pounds Certified Angus Ground Beef 
  • 1 avocado
  • 4 burger buns
  • 4 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 leaves green leaf lettuce
  • 1 tomato (sliced)
  • 8 slices bacon (cooked)
  • Salt and fresh ground pepper to taste

Instructions:

  1. Preheat grill. Portion ground beef  into four patties. Season burgers with salt and pepper, grill to an internal temperature of 160°F.
  2. Peel and slice avocado. Build burger by layering bottom of bun with mayo, lettuce, tomato, burger, avocado and bacon. Top with bun and serve.

Von Hanson’s Oven Baked Tacos

Easy & Quick!

1 lb. lean ground beef OR (extra lean ground beef, jalapeno ground beef, bacon ground beef)
1 Can Refried Beans
1 Pkg. Taco Seasoning
½ Can Tomato Sauce
Cheese, shredded

Brown your ground beef and drain completely. Then add refried beans, taco seasoning and tomato sauce. Mix together and scoop into taco shells (stand them up in a casserole dish). Sprinkle the cheese on top and bake at 375 for 10 minutes.

  • Von Hanson’s BBQ sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell peppers
  • 1/2 cup chopped yellow bell peppers
  • 4 (10-inch) spinach or sun-dried tomato tortillas
  • 1 cup Von Hanson’s coleslaw

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in pan; sauté onions and peppers until tender
  2. Add beef; heat until warm.
  3. Divide mixture among tortillas, add coleslaw; wrap and serve.

Von Hanson’s Flank Steak Fajitas

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Certified Angus Beef ® flank steak
  • 1/2 cup lime juice
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon fajita seasoning
  • Vegetable spray
  • 1 large red onion, sliced and ringed
  • 1 large green bell pepper, cut into strips
  • Flour/corn tortillas
  • Cheese, salsa, guacamole, sour cream optional

Instructions:

  1. Slice steak across the grain in 2 x 1/4 inch strips. Place in zipper-locking plastic bag. Combine lime juice and oil; pour over steak strips. Marinate in refrigerator for 30 minutes.
  2. Remove steak strips from marinade; discard marinade. Sprinkle fajita seasoning on steak strips.
  3. Spray skillet with vegetable spray. Sauté beef over high heat, stirring constantly until brown, about 3 to 5 minutes...

Von Hanson’s Easter Breakfast Casserole

1 Can Flaky Grand’s
1 bags shredded cheddar 8 oz
Half cup milk
1 cup cooked cubed ham or ground cooked sausage
5 eggs
Salt and pepper
Add all ingredients and mix saving biscuits for last.

Cut biscuits into fours and carefully mix in.
Transfer to casserole dish that has been oiled. Cook 25 at 350.

Ingredients:
2 pounds Certified Angus Beef ® ground beef (80/20)
1 poblano pepper, seeded and diced (2/3 cup)
4 ounces grated jack cheese
2 tablespoons hot sauce (like Cholula or Tapatio brands)
1 1/2 teaspoons coarse kosher salt
1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
6 burger buns

Instructions:
1. By hand, combine ground beef, poblano, cheese, hot sauce, salt and pepper in a large mixing bowl. Form into six patties and grill over medium heat until internal temperature is 160°F.
2. Suggested toppings – Avocado, grilled peppers, red onion, hot sauce, queso fresca, tortilla chips

 

For best results use Certified Angus Beef ® brand

Von Hanson’s Buffalo Chicken Dip

-3 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
-1/2 cup bleu cheese dressing
-1/2 cup ranch dressing
-3/4 cup hot sauce – Franks is best
-2 cups sharp cheddar cheese
-3 Large chicken breast cut up into chunks

Toss everything but the cheddar cheese in the crockpot and cook til hot (stir several times while cooking) Top with the Cheddar Cheese, stir in the melted cheddar prior to serving.
This is great with tortilla chips, but if your prefer healthy option use a celery stick instead.
